Order & Intuition: American Abstraction from the Patty & Jay Baker Naples Museum of Art, 1913-1954 September 18th - October 25th, 2008

The Patty and Jay Baker Naples Museum of Art, under the pioneering leadership of Myra Janco Daniels, in association with Hollis Taggart Galleries presents “Order and Intuition: American Abstraction from the Patty and Jay Baker Naples Museum of Art, 1913-1954,” on view from September 18 to October 25, 2008. Featuring key pieces from the collection of Ahmet Ertegun, which the museum purchased in 1999, this exhibition stands as a celebration of a new appreciation for American modernism. 

Past Exhibitions

For over 25 years Hollis Taggart Galleries has presented pioneering exhibitions on novel or unexplored themes of American modernism defined by emphasis on quality, scholarship, and an increasingly refined vision. Some highlights include “The Color of Modernism: The American Fauves,” “Pathways and Parallels: Roads to Abstract Expressionism,” and more recently “Dynamic Impulse: The Drawings of Stuart Davis.”
