Bill Scott on Abstract Painting
In conjunction with the exhibition, Flirting with Abstraction, currently at Woodmere Art Museum: Bill Scott will present an illustrated lecture about his work, including his influences and his development from a still life and figure painter to an abstract painter and printmaker and he will show new paintings from his current exhibition at Hollis Taggart Galleries, New York. He will also talk about some of today’s younger Philadelphia artists whose work is on view: Peter Haarz, Michael Ciervo, Eric Huckabee, Benjamin Passione and others. Scott’s work is also on view in Woodmere’s Flirting with Abstraction exhibition.
