Gallery artists Audrey Flack and Michael (Corinne) West are included in the traveling group exhibition Abstract Expressionists: The Women at the Grinnell College Museum of Art in Iowa. The exhibition will travel to the Mobile Museum of Art in Alabama and The Frick Pittsburgh Museums & Gardens in Pennsylvania.

Abstract Expressionists: The Women, curated by Ellen G. Landau, presents a fresh look at important contributions U.S. women painters working in New York, California, and Paris made to Abstract Expressionism from the early 1940s through the 1970s. The show features forty-eight outstanding examples from The Levett Collection by twenty-nine women artists, offering audiences more in-depth understanding of a singular aspect of twentieth-century American art, one whose significance has only just begun to receive proper recognition.

Drawn from the Christian Levett Collection and FAMM (Female Artists of the Mougins Museum), France, Abstract Expressionists: The Women features nearly 50 paintings by 32 important women artists from between 1936 and 1977.

The exhibition is organized by the American Federation of Arts.
