Gallery artist Charles Seliger's work Subterranean Excavation Sky and Air (1947) is included in the group exhibition America in the Making at the Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover, MA. 
With this exhibition, the Addison joins museums across the country in marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Filling the entire building and including many of our “greatest hits” from the 18th century to the present, this exhibition reveals the extraordinary caliber of the Addison’s collection and offers insight into the ways art has not only reflected but also shaped, reinforced, and challenged an American society and culture that is forever “in the making.”
