Hollis Taggart Now Represents Thomas Agrinier
French painter Thomas Agrinier has joined the New York–based gallery Hollis Taggart. A self-taught artist, Agrinier creates paintings of distorted and cartoonish figures that appear to be taking part in enigmatic narratives. Scenes of leisure and distress play out against expressive backdrops inspired by Francis Bacon. A selection of Agrinier’s works were featured in a 2021 show at Hollis Taggart, and one of his paintings is currently featured in the group presentation at the gallery’s Southport, Connecticut, location through October 30. A solo exhibition is planned for 2023.
